A well-designed website and brand are crucial elements for a restaurant: a website is oftentimes the first impression the customer makes of a business, a critical step for her evening research on menu choices, and her go-to place for reservations and important contact information.

For this reason a restaurant needs a website that best represents its unique offering, be up-to-date, be easy to navigate, and be pleasant (aka delicious) to the eye, or the customer might go somewhere else.

The goal for this project was to develop the brand identity and the website for a restaurant that specializes in baked goods and has an extensive drink menu.

I wanted to design a recognizable brand that conveys the vision of the business, and a functional and minimal website to represent its values of artisanal quality and Italian identity.

BRAND DEV

& DESIGN

In order to translate the values of the business into a visual identity, I decided to focus on the unique offering of the restaurants: the freshly baked bread.

The brand developed through hand-made drawings and creamy tones, to suggest simplicity and craft of Italian baked foods and drinks.

SMOOTH ANIMATIONS

The minimal content and architecture of the website offered the opportunity for an eye-catching animation of the appetizing pictures of the seasonal menu.

MINIMAL MENU

The menu was kept as simple as possible, using different boxes to help the user scroll through it with speed and ease.

The artisanal feel create a pleasant contrast with the modern and sleek look of the restaurant itself.
